Services
What we do
Shopify is most of the work. The rest is what clients ask for once the store is running — paid traffic into it, AI, applications, and sites that are not a store at all.
Services in detail- 01 /
Custom Shopify development
Past the limits of your theme.
Custom-coded Liquid sections and storefronts — no page builder, no app stack doing what code should do. If your theme cannot do it and the app that can is slowing the store down, that is the work we take.
- 02 /
Speed & SEO fixes
For a store you already have.
A scoped sprint on an existing store rather than a rebuild: Core Web Vitals measured on real mobile hardware, and a technical SEO audit where we ship the fixes into the theme instead of handing back a PDF of problems. Priced before we start.
- 03 /
Meta ads
Paid traffic into a store built to take it.
Facebook and Instagram campaigns for stores we can see the inside of. Tracking set up server-side so the numbers survive iOS and ad blockers, the catalogue wired to dynamic product ads, and creative tested against the product pages it points at rather than in isolation.
- 04 /
AI chatbots & pipelines
Answers from your data, not guesses.
Retrieval chatbots grounded in your own catalogue, and automation pipelines for the repetitive work. We build the engineering around the model: two-stage retrieval, grounded generation so it cannot invent products, structured outputs, and deterministic fallbacks for when the model fails.
- 05 /
Full-stack web apps
When a store is not the whole product.
Complete web applications — UI, API, database and deployment. React 19 and Next.js front ends on FastAPI or Node back ends, with Postgres and a clean data flow.
- 06 /
WordPress & custom sites
When a template will not cut it.
WordPress and WooCommerce builds for teams who need a CMS they can run themselves, or a site hand-coded from scratch when an off-the-shelf theme cannot do the job.
Our main offer
Shopify, end to end
Most of our work is one thing: a store that is fast, findable, and editable by the people who own it. Here is what that engagement actually looks like.
Read the full breakdownWhat the engagement includes
- Custom theme work on Shopify's native stack — no page-builder lock-in
- Home, collection, product, cart and checkout templates
- Section and block schema documented for your team
- Performance budget agreed up front, measured at handover

About
Who you are hiring
Hizon Media is a Shopify agency. Every project is assigned a developer who owns it from scope through launch.
More about the agencyFewer apps
Every app is third-party JavaScript in your customer's checkout. We solve it in the theme where we reasonably can.
Measured, not asserted
Speed and ranking claims come with a before and an after. If we cannot measure it, we do not claim it.
You own it
Standard Shopify patterns and documented sections, so another developer can pick it up. No lock-in by obscurity.
Honest scope
We say no to work we would be learning on your budget, and point you somewhere better.
Who runs it
Ayan Ali
Founder, lead developer
Four years of Shopify work on my own, most of it for merchants whose theme had run out of room. Hizon Media is that same work with a structure around it: the developer who scopes your build is the one who writes it.

FAQ
Questions we get asked
The ones that come up before the first call. The Shopify-specific ones are answered on the Shopify page.
What do you actually do?
Shopify is most of the work — custom theme development, speed and SEO. Around it we run Meta ads for stores we can see the inside of, build AI chatbots and automation pipelines, full-stack web apps, and WordPress sites. If a job is outside that, we will say so rather than learn on your budget.
How do we start?
You send us what you have: the store URL, what is wrong, what you want. We talk once, then you get a written scope with a fixed price before any code is written. If we are the wrong fit for the job, that is the point where we say so.
How do you price work?
Fixed price, quoted after the scope — not an hourly meter. A fix sprint starts at $100, a full build at $600, and a retainer at $300 a month. The range is published so the enquiries that are not a fit can filter themselves out.
Will you work on a store you did not build?
Yes, and most of our fix sprints are exactly that. Speed work and SEO audits on someone else’s theme are normal. If the theme is past saving we will tell you that too, with the reasons.
Do you do SEO without a build?
Yes. A technical audit with the fixes shipped into the theme, or ongoing SEO on a retainer. We do not sell a PDF of problems for someone else to implement.
Where are you, and how do you work?
Remote, worldwide, and async-friendly. You get weekly notes on what shipped and a development store you can open any day, so progress is something you look at rather than something you are told about.
Who owns the code?
You do, on your own Shopify account and your own repository. No licence, no platform of ours you have to keep paying for, and no code we hold back at handover.
What happens after launch?
Two weeks of fixes at no charge, because the first fortnight is when real traffic finds the things staging did not. After that it is either a retainer or a clean handover with documentation — both are fine, and we will not make the handover difficult.
